Who is responsible for your information

Information we collect

• Account and contact details, including email address, name, telephone number and postal address.
• Eligibility information you provide, including confirmation that you are 18 or over and a UK resident. Postal entrants also provide their date of birth on the postcard.
• Competition records, including answers, entries, ticket numbers, accepted terms, draw results and prize-contact history.
• Payment and refund records supplied by Stripe, such as transaction identifiers, amount, currency and payment status. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Transactional email and delivery records, including whether a message was delivered, delayed, bounced or reported as spam.
• Technical and security information generated when you use the site, such as request information, authentication events and short-lived anti-abuse rate-limit data.

How and why we use it

• To create and administer your account, competition entries, tickets, payments, refunds, draws and prizes.
• To send sign-in links, entry confirmations, service messages and winner communications.
• To verify eligibility, enforce entry limits, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the service and investigate disputes.
• To maintain financial, competition and audit records and comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
• To send marketing only where you have made a separate choice to receive it. You can withdraw that choice at any time.

We use information where it is necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests in running secure and fair competitions. Where the law requires consent, including for optional marketing, we rely on your consent.

Automated processing

The service automatically checks competition status and entry limits, validates skill answers, allocates available ticket numbers and applies the published draw process. These steps use the rules shown on the competition page and in our terms and conditions; they do not use behavioural profiling to set your odds.

Who receives information

We use specialist service providers to operate the service:

• Hosting, account authentication, database and image-storage providers.
• Stripe for hosted payment processing and refunds.
• Transactional email-delivery providers.

We may also share information with delivery providers, professional advisers, insurers, law-enforcement bodies, regulators or courts where reasonably necessary. We do not sell personal information.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal safeguard for the transfer, such as a UK adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected. Competition, payment, refund, draw and audit records may be kept after a competition ends where needed to honour prizes, handle disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, accounting or tax obligations. Account and contact information is reviewed when it is no longer connected to an active entry or continuing obligation. Backups and provider logs expire according to controlled backup and security cycles.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep signed-in sessions secure. Before public access is enabled, a separate essential cookie may also remember access to the password-protected site. These cookies are required for the requested service and are not used for advertising. Stripe may set its own essential cookies when you visit its hosted checkout.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent for future optional marketing. Some records cannot be deleted immediately where they are needed for a legal obligation, completed transaction, dispute, fraud-prevention check or the integrity of a competition.
